Job Description
As a FinOps Transformation Consultant, you will blend financial accountability with cloud engineering to help organizations optimize their cloud spend and maximize business value. Your main responsibilities will include:
Project Leadership: Lead the full lifecycle of data and cloud governance projects (Business Intelligence, Data Governance, Analytics, and FinOps), managing scope, timeline, budget, and risks.
FinOps Implementation: Implement and operationalize FinOps programs focused on cost optimization, aiming to achieve benchmark financial efficiency.
Governance & ROI: Monitor and audit resource consumption, establishing robust financial governance models to maximize technology ROI.
Requirements Gathering: Translate client business and financial challenges into technical and functional requirements for data and cloud infrastructure teams.
Business Development: Create and present commercial proposals, contributing to the growth of the Data & Analytics and Cloud business units.
Innovation: Identify new data solutions, FinOps practices, and technologies to increase the value delivered to clients.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; relevant certifications (such as FinOps Certified Practitioner) are a strong asset.
Experience: Proven track record in Project Management, FinOps, or Business Consulting, ideally within a technology consulting environment. Specific experience in data-centric and cloud projects is essential.
Cloud Expertise: Deep understanding of the cost structures and billing mechanisms of major Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Financial & Technical Acumen: Strong financial analysis skills applied to technology, with a focus on Enterprise Architecture to ensure scalability without technical debt.
Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills, with a creative approach to translating complex business principles into actionable, impactful, and cost-effective solutions.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical and financial ideas clearly to both engineering teams and C-level executives.
Methodologies: Experience working with Agile methodologies.
Mindset: Genuine interest in helping organizations become more agile, cost-aware, and responsive to change.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory.
