Job Description

We are searching for a Service Owner for Events and Meetings.

The service owner / product owner (SO) is a member of the agile team and is responsible for defining, prioritizing and aligning backlog items with customers and key stakeholders and serves as the voice for the customers. The SO ensures transparency and understanding so that all members of the agile team understand the tasks and goals. Furthermore, the SO is responsible for progress monitoring to achieve the iteration goals.

As part of the Collaboration Hub and the service cluster Meet and Communicate, the Events and Meetings service team is responsible for delivering corporate-wide high-quality solutions for big meetings based on the Microsoft Teams service stack.
Our main focus is the further development of the technical solutions needed for meetings and live events based on customer demands as well as individual consultation and support of meetings and event broadcasts based on internal customer demands.

Overview of tasks:

  • Define the product strategy and vision for the services in alignment with the Product Manager and Service Hub Owner
  • Create and align backlog items with customers and key stakeholders
  • Maintain the team backlog (prioritization)
  • Perform Iteration Planning and coordinate planned items with the other Service Owners
  • Manage a team of between 5 and 10 colleagues mainly in Germany and Hungary
  • Plan budget and resources for the respective products and services
  • Identify and manage impediments and risks

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of current event and meeting solutions especially of the current Microsoft portfolio (Microsoft Teams, Teams Webinars, Town Halls)
  • Experience with the Cisco product stack including Webex and Webex Webinar
    would be beneficial
  • Good experience in organizing big virtual or hybrid events
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and German (e.g. communicate new features, new processes, team communication, communication with key stakeholders)
  • Knowledge of risk and impediment processes
  • Professional experience in planning budget and resources
