Job Description
We are working on an exciting data pipeline development project and are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data pipeline through meticulous testing and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain test cases based on architectural diagrams and user stories.
- Implement automated test scripts using Java, Playwright, and Selenium.
- Perform manual testing to validate new features and bug fixes.
- Identify, document, and track software defects (BUGs).
- Collaborate with developers to resolve technical questions and issues.
- Participate in regular sync-up meetings with the development team to discuss progress and challenges.
- Continuously improve the testing process and framework to enhance efficiency and coverage.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Technologies:
- Proficiency in Java programming language.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium for test automation.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test cases.
- Ability to perform detailed manual testing when necessary.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools and processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in data pipeline or similar projects.
- Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
- Knowledge of other programming languages and testing frameworks is a plus.
