Are you curious, eager to learn and passionate about working with Mergers & Acquisitions? Join our Deal Transformation team as a Trainee in 2027!

Our Deal Transformation team provides integration, separation, HR, IT and commercial due diligence services as well as design, planning and execution support of integration and separation programmes typically in an M&A context. Our team’s offering also includes strategy, profitability and working capital improvement services. As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are now looking for the right candidates to join our team of multi-disciplinary M&A experts.  

We are looking for students who are finalising their studies or who have already graduated to join our team for 4-5 months, starting at the end of 2026 or beginning of 2027. Our ambition is to offer full-time positions after the Trainee period.

What will your role include?

As a Trainee in Deal Transformation, you will support our experienced professionals with:

  • Integration, separation and operational due diligence for M&A transactions
  • Commercial due diligence on acquisition targets, assessing market attractiveness, growth outlook, customer needs, competitive positioning, pricing, channel dynamics, risks and upside potential
  • Analysing target company data to build the synergy potential case for a proposed M&A deal
  • Reviewing separation complexities and potential standalone costs of divestments
  • Preparing/facilitating workshops and meetings for integration, separation and performance improvement programs while managing key programme milestones, governance and risks
  • In performance improvement projects, you will assist in analysing company financials to identify areas for profitability improvement

Qualifications

What do we hope from you?

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • An excellent academic record with a relevant master’s degree, e.g. from business or industrial engineering (graduated or close to graduation)
  • Solid skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and excellent command of both Finnish and English
  • A proactive and hands-on attitude for delivering high-quality client experience
  • Analytical and result-oriented mindset
  • An interest to pursue a career in M&A, Strategy and Performance Improvement

Previous experience from M&A, management advisory and/or project management is considered as an advantage.

To be considered for this Trainee position, a prerequisite is that you are currently allowed to work in Finland, holding a valid residence permit if required.
