Are you interested in financial services and risk management? Would you like to support and advise leading Nordic banks and insurers tackle their most important challenges? We are looking for students who are finalizing their studies or who have already graduated, to join our Regulatory Risk team as Trainees in Helsinki, with focus on Financial Risk, Non-Financial Risk, Risk Data or Sustainable Finance.

We would like you to start your 4-month Trainee period in August 2024. Our goal is that as many Trainees as possible continue with us after the Trainee period or after graduation.

Job Description

In this role you will have the opportunity to build your expertise in financial services broadly. You will participate in client projects and support your team by collecting and visualizing data, reporting, planning, and developing projects. For our technically oriented trainees, there are also opportunities to gain experience in risk model development and programming (Python, R, SQL). As our Financial Services Risk trainee, you can specialize on one or more of our offering areas:

  • Financial Risk: Credit Risk, Model Risk Management, Capital Management & Stress testing, Treasury & Liquidity Risk
  • Non-Financial Risk: Anti-Financial Crime (KYC, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions), Governance & Compliance, Operational Resilience
  • Risk Data: Data Architecture, Management & Governance, Risk Process Optimization, ESG Data
  • Sustainable finance: Climate and ESG Assessments and Analytics, ESG/integrated Reporting and Regulatory Compliance, ESG Risk Strategy (Validation, Stress testing)

Qualifications

What do we hope for from you?

Are you ready to take action when needed and have a willingness to learn new things? Then you’d probably fit well in our team! To succeed in this role, we also wish you have:

  • a recent master’s degree or ongoing master studies (for example in economics and business, engineering, computer science or mathematics)
  • strong drive to deliver results and enthusiasm to work together with others
  • fluency in English (fluency in Finnish is not required but would be beneficial)

Previous work experience that supports the role is considered an advantage. Experience in e.g. banking is an advantage but the most important thing is initiative and a desire to learn new things.
