Job Description
You will become a consultant within our Accounting and Reporting Advisory team, which focuses on delivering value to the clients by assisting with complex accounting and external reporting matters (e.g., IFRS-conversions, handling both technical accounting analysis and practical accounting matters, solving general issues concerning Corporate Accounting, deliver M&A Accounting Services, and Capital Markets Transactions). As a consultant in our team, this will allow you to deliver value and make an impact to your clients and get “behind the scenes” of some of Denmark’s most interesting companies. Combined with our structured coaching and mentoring methodology, where we encourage you to shape and lead your own development, this will provide you with both professional and personal development.
As part of our team, you will understand and learn how to create value for the client by either lead and/or participate on various client projects using your finance and accounting knowledge together with the Deloitte Toolkit. We are looking for candidates on an Assistant Manager or Manager level who are willing to learn and develop as a professional. With the right attitude we will guarantee that you will be on a steep learn curve, and within 3-12 months been capable of leading projects with up to three team members, being responsible for scoping projects in collaboration with clients and project partners, as well as supporting and advising clients’ corporate accounting and reporting teams in:
- Hands-on finance and accounting support/advisory (ad-hoc issues or short/longer interim assignments)
- Specialized accounting advice in relation to changes in clients’ businesses.
- IFRS or US GAAP conversion to support business transactions or transformations (e.g., plan for an IPO or selling the company).
- General IFRS support (ad-hoc issues or short/longer interim assignments).
- Support business transactions (buyer or seller) with the due diligence process (e.g., selected accounting areas, preparation of financial analysis, preparation of due diligence material)
- Post-acquisition accounting support to support subsequent integration.
- IPO services, such as assessing IPO readiness level and advising on the IPO execution process.
- Comfort letters for prospectuses (share issuing and bond programs).
Qualifications
We believe the following qualifications will prove a good foundation for your success in the role:
- You have a professional curiosity about finance and accounting, and are willing to learn how to help finance functions with various challenges or even bring their reporting towards leading practice.
- You are a positive, self-reliant teammate who takes ownership of tasks and does not shy away from new challenges.
- You have at least five years’ experience from a relevant job within finance, such as auditor, senior accountant, senior controller, or consultant within the field of Audit & Assurance.
- You have a relevant graduate or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or auditing.
Furthermore, it could be an advantage if you have experience in one or more of the following areas, but it is not a requirement:
- Project management, change management, and stakeholder management.
- Experience working in external audits.
- Experience working with IFRS.
- Experience working with IPO assistance.
