Non-Financial Risk Management Trainee

  • Intern
  • Field of interest: Risk Management
  • Level of hire: Internship/Trainee

Company Description

In today’s world of increasing regulation and technology-fueled risks, threats to reputation and value of businesses are widespread. Would you like to support top Finnish and international financial services firms (banks, insurers, asset managers) with their non-financial risk management?

We help to protect firms and communities by advising on how to manage exposures to financial crime, third party risk, sustainability risks and other non-financial risks – and we are now looking for a Non-Financial Risk Trainee to join our team in Helsinki!

We would like you to start your 4-month Trainee period in January 2024. Our goal is that as many Trainees as possible continue with us also after the Trainee period or after graduating.

Job Description

Our team provides risk advisory services for our clients in the Financial Services Industry. As a Non-Financial Risk Trainee, you will support financial institutions with design, implementation and validation of non-financial risk management processes and related governance.

In this role you will have the opportunity to grow your expertise broadly as a non-financial risk expert. You will participate in various non-financial risk projects from risk assessment to solution deployment. This can include e. g. supporting our clients with the interpretation and implementation of regulatory requirements related to anti-financial crime, sustainable finance and other regulations across risk assessments, technology implementation and risk management.

In addition to client work, you will participate in business development. At Deloitte we thrive on collaboration, and you will be supported by a strong team of professionals, locally and from across our Nordic and Global networks.

Qualifications

What do we hope from you?

Are you ready to take action when needed and have a willingness to learn new things? Then you’d probably fit well in our team!

To succeed in this role, we also wish that you have:

  • Recently graduated (or are about to graduate) with a master’s degree in e.g. economics, business administration, engineering or another relevant subject
  • Enthusiasm to work together with others
  • Willingness to learn new things and positive attitude
  • Fluency in English (fluency in Finnish is not required but would be beneficial)

Previous work experience that supports the role is considered an advantage. Experience in from our core client industries (banking, insurance, asset management) is an advantage but the most important thing is initiative and a desire to learn new things.
