Job Description
Deloitte's ESG Assurance is looking for new colleagues who will join us on our fantastic growth journey. In a short time we have grown the department by +12 employees and with continued increasing demand on our ESG Advisory and Assurance work, we are looking for new colleagues, who can become part of our team in Copenhagen and Aarhus. Ultimately, our mission is delivery of public trust to non-financial reporting and prevent greenwashing by delivering high quality ESG Advisory and Assurance. We are therefore looking for colleagues who can ensure a safe onboarding of our clients on to the ESG reporting and assurance journey.

Your role
We are looking for manager profiles with a passion for sustainability that is seeking opportunities to shape Audit & Assurance of tomorrow at this pivotal moment in time. You will join a strong and professional environment with close collaboration and sparring with Deloitte ESG teams, our Nordic Sustainability Community and participate in cross-functional projects.
Your role will include:
- Providing assurance services to clients related to their ESG reporting in accordance with the new/upcoming ESG frameworks (such as EU Taxonomy, Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) etc.)
- Leading assurance engagements with day-to-day responsibility for project management, team management, the quality of our work and for a smooth process, including seamless collaboration between ESG experts, audit teams and clients.
- Bringing an auditor’s unique toolbox combined with value adding advisory perspectives to support our clients on their ‘Readiness Journey’ towards ESG reporting and assurance – e.g. by providing feedback and advice on how to establish appropriate governance and policies, mature and robust processes and controls to improve the quality of ESG data and reporting.
- Help implement our global ESG Assurance methodology and delivery model securing high quality assurance documentation in accordance with assurance standards, such as ISAE 3000 and the future ISSA 5000
- Being a member of the ESG Assurance Lead Team and contributing to the strategic direction, scaling the ESG assurance business and team development
- Working in a diverse team and promoting an inclusive culture, where colleagues experience personal and professional development and recognized for their contribution
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role is looking to combine their audit and assurance toolbox with their passion for sustainability and the urge to develop their consulting skills. Your professional experience ideally comprises of 5+ years of relevant audit and assurance experience.
You bring:
- Significant experience driving audit engagements, with a strong foundation in auditing standards and audit methodology
- Experience from assurance engagements e.g. over historical financial information, data, processes, and internal controls, including a detailed understanding of assurance standards such as ISAE 3000 and ISRE 2400
- An understanding of the role of assurance, the different types of services that can be provided (e.g. limited vs reasonable assurance)
- Commitment to quality and experience with applying professional skepticism
- Proven planning and project management skills in complex projects and experience with building respected client relationships and internal and external networks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a hands-on approach and attention to detail when required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- An ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo and deliver change and exceptional impact
- Willingness to motivate and develop high performing diverse teams
- Master’s degree within e.g. Business Administration and Auditing, Accounting or similar
- A desire to impact the ESG Assurance agenda – and have fun while doing so.
