Job Description
The impact you’ll make:
As a Privacy & Data Protection Manager, you will operate at the intersection of privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, and AI—leading complex work and enabling organisations to use data responsibly and confidently. You will bring clarity to ambiguity, translate expectations into action, and play a key role in shaping how decisions are made. Your typical day will include:
- Lead complex data and AI-related decision-making, assessing how data is used, shared, and governed, and providing clear, practical guidance
- Own and manage high-impact incidents end-to-end, from initial assessment through to resolution, working closely with cybersecurity and technology teams
- Apply integrated thinking across privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, and AI, balancing risk, responsibility, and business outcomes
- Develop and refine practical tools, frameworks, and playbooks that enable consistent and scalable ways of working
- Support and influence senior stakeholders by bringing clarity and structure to complex or ambiguous situations
- Translate regulatory and organisational expectations into actionable, real-world guidance that drives confident decision-making
- Identify emerging risks and opportunities across data and technology landscapes, including evolving AI use cases
- Lead and develop team capability by coaching, mentoring, and providing oversight to ensure high-quality outcom
Qualifications
Your expertise:
Bring your experience leading complex data, privacy, or technology-related work to see what impact you can make in this dynamic and evolving space.
You’ll also have:
- Proven experience leading complex data, privacy, or technology decisions in a professional services or corporate environment
- Strong capability in one or more of privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, or AI, with the ability to operate across broader domains
- Experience managing incidents or high-pressure situations, with the ability to lead structured and effective responses
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to assess ambiguous scenarios and form clear, well-reasoned positions
- Ability to translate complexity into practical, actionable guidance that drives consistent outcomes
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders, with the ability to challenge constructively and influence decisions
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing team capability
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
