Job Description
Your role as a leader
Your role as a SAP Quality Engineering / Test Manager will focus on the management and delivery of Quality within client engagements, as well as generating leads and supporting the development of key opportunities within the QE practice.
In this role, you will support development of high-performing people and teams, leading and supporting them to make an impact that matters through exceptional client service.

- Build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with clients and vendors through delivery excellence, market eminence, and exceptional thought-leadership.
- Monitor and manage tasks, budgets, and risks across the practice.
- Coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams through change and continuous improvement.
- Develop high-quality collateral to help clients and senior stakeholders interpret metrics and measures, provide recommendations, and articulate risks and value based on metrics.
- Be empowered to lead client and stakeholder sessions to understand complex challenges, support project team members, and manage stakeholders towards project and programme goals.
- Integrate Deloitte and industry Quality Engineering frameworks to deliver a high standard of quality/testing practices as a part of core capability management.
- Think critically and solve business use case challenges in Testing to provide fit for purpose solutions.
- Strong desire to maintain a high level of continuous learning in the latest processes and methodologies available in market.
- Manage QE resources in the global delivery network
- Delivery excellence and advisory on client engagements in the form testing process optimisations
Qualifications
Your expertise
- Proven SAP Test Manager with 10+ years’ experience in software testing and 5+ years in senior QA/QE/Test Leadership roles, delivering and scaling SAP quality and testing capabilities.
- Extensive experience leading SAP testing programmes, managing complex, business‑critical test deliverables across large transformations.
- Demonstrated leadership in end‑to‑end SAP test management, including test strategy definition, planning, execution, governance, and reporting.
- Strong hands‑on experience managing SAP testing teams across manual and automated testing, with a track record of building, developing, and retaining high‑performing test and automation engineers.
- Deep expertise in SAP‑focused test strategies covering unit, integration, system, UAT, regression, performance, API, database, and parallel payroll testing.
- Proven delivery experience across Agile, Waterfall, and V‑Model methodologies, including running SAP test cycles in Agile and hybrid delivery environments.
- Extensive experience with SAP HR/HCM and SAP SuccessFactors implementations, including:
- Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
- Learning & Development, Onboarding, and Recruitment (desirable)
- Strong capability driving end‑to‑end SAP test strategies and execution to support seamless client transitions to SAP S/4HANA.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP test management and defect tools, including Solution Manager, ALM/QC, and JIRA, as well as test environment management.
- Strong experience in SAP integration and API testing, ensuring quality across complex system landscapes.
- Deep understanding of HR business processes and compliance requirements, including payroll and regulatory obligations (e.g. Holidays Act).
- Highly effective stakeholder manager and communicator, confident engaging with Executives, business leaders, SAP functional specialists, and technical teams.
- Solid understanding of commercial principles and consulting delivery models, including client engagement and business development.
- A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
