The team you'll join:
Our Modelling & Insights team are expert problem solvers; who design and use decision tools, financial models and dashboards to advise our clients when making important decisions. Our team develop standalone project models as well as providing specialist financial analysis to our transactions, valuation and advisory teams as part of our advice to clients. While we are experts in using Excel to develop financial modelling tools, we increasingly use a range of database, business intelligence, and process automation tools. Based in either Auckland, Hamilton or Wellington, you will be working alongside a team with strategy, risk, transaction execution, M&A and economic advisory capabilities; and will have the opportunity to work closely with these teams advising leading corporate and public sector clients.
Job Description
The impact you'll make:
As a Senior Analyst you will support our client projects by contributing to financial modelling and analysis. Your typical day will include:
- Assisting in identifying and analysing value drivers for businesses and projects
- Creating financial models
- Preparing and presenting modelling outputs and findings to stakeholders, with guidance from senior team members
- Applying problem-solving skills and technical expertise to project tasks
- Ensuring accuracy and quality in modelling work through peer review and feedback
- Coaching, training and development of the team
Qualifications
Your expertise:

You'll also have:
- Minimum 2 years’ specialist financial modelling experience in a professional services firm
- Strong numeracy, logic, and Excel-based financial modelling skills
- Exposure to data management, business intelligence, process automation, or AI is beneficial
- Solid financial analysis skills, commercial awareness, and curiosity
- Effective verbal and written communication, able to explain analysis clearly
- Ability to build positive working relationships within the team and with clients
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Experience working to project deadlines and managing priorities
- Progress towards a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is advantageous, not required
