The team you’ll join 

Deloitte New Zealand's Tax team is widely regarded as experts and leaders in their field. We are looking for an experienced Manager/ Associate Director to join our Wellington based team. You will be an experienced tax professional (corporate tax) wanting to take the next step in their career with a leading brand.

Being part of the largest specialist tax practice in Wellington, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a diverse team that continues to grow. 

You will advise some of the largest businesses in Wellington, on some of the most stimulating tax issues, and in the process further develop both your technical and management skills. You will be passionate about making a positive impact for our clients, for yourself, and for the wider team. 

The impact you’ll make 

As a Manager/Associate Director you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients ranging in size and covering a broad range of corporate tax issues. You will develop effective business relationships with clients, deliver outstanding tax advice, exceed our client’s expectations and partner with their businesses to grow. Your typical day may include:

• Providing expert tax advice across a diverse client base
• Leading and managing a client portfolio
• Helping clients manage risks and achieve their business objectives
• Developing teams through coaching and mentorship
• Utilising modern tools to enhance client service and efficiency

Your expertise:

Bring you experience and passion for providing impactful tax advice and see what impact you could make. 

You'll also have:

• A minimum of 6 years work experience in a professional services or corporate tax environment
• A professional qualification in law or accounting
• A strong understanding of end-to-end tax processes & the NZ tax environment
• Proven organisational and communications skills.
• An energetic and proactive attitude
• A results focus & be client oriented
