About Regulatory Risk

Within the Regulatory Risk team, we work on supporting clients in anticipating and adapting to changes in the regulatory environment. We cover the entire lifecycle of regulatory risk from strategy to compliance optimisation and helping our clients to be a responsible business.
1. Strategy: Help clients understand and anticipate to new laws and regulations. We do this by developing strategies, business structures and processes.
2. Compliance: Support organisations in designing, evaluating and transforming processes, controls and infrastructure to be compliant with existing law and regulations and foster integrity. We believe that through compliance clients can maintain their business value - and even create a competitive advantage.
3. Response: Help clients react to specific gaps in their regulatory compliance programs and make their compliance programs more efficient and smarter by using data and technology.
How you will make an Impact
As a Senior Manager you support Associated Directors, Directors and Partners in delivery and management of services to / at client premises on delegated engagement / project. You will be focused on the management and delivery of client engagements, as well as sales and practice development, develop high-performing people and teams, leading and supporting them to make an impact that matters.
Are you ready to lead high-performing teams and deliver outstanding client solutions in regulatory, compliance and legal (RCL) strategy? We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager to join our growing team, supporting Directors and Partners in the management and delivery of complex client engagements.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and deliver client projects focused on regulatory compliance, legal strategy, and risk management.
- Advise clients on developing and implementing effective RCL management systems, controls, and mitigation strategies.
- Translate in-depth understanding of client strategy into impactful, sustainable solutions to RCL challenges.
- Guide clients through RCL risk assessment, control design, and process improvement, leveraging industry knowledge and analytics.
- Draft and review legal agreements, conduct detailed research, and provide expert opinions on legal and regulatory matters.
- Assess, design, and implement RCL controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, and delivery to ensure a superior client experience.
- Lead and develop teams, fostering a collaborative environment committed to excellence.
- Prepare and present high-quality reports and recommendations to senior client stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices, sharing insights with clients and colleagues.
About You:
- Strong experience in regulatory, compliance, and legal risk management within a professional services or corporate environment.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects, with a focus on client value.
- Expertise in drafting and reviewing legal agreements, and applying common law and contract law principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an aptitude for leveraging technology and data.
- Ability to stay ahead of industry trends and build deep client relationships.

Qualifications
- 4 year legal degree or 2 year post graduate legal degree.
- Compliance Diploma or Certified Compliance Professional
- At least 2 years legal articles
- At least 7 years post articles work experience of which 4 must be in a consulting capacity.
- Extensive experience in leading, managing and implementing compliance solutions .
- Regulatory research across African jurisdictions.
- Experience and knowledge of GRC tools and digitisation opportunities in the legal and compliance space
