Job Description
Job Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee the financial strategy and operations of the asset management company, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and compliance with financial regulations. This role involves leading financial planning, risk management, and reporting, while driving strategic initiatives to optimize asset performance and shareholder value. The CFO will collaborate with senior leadership to align financial goals with organisational objectives, fostering transparency and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the organisation’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and market opportunities.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring robust internal controls and adherence to industry standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring transparency and trust.
- Monitor and optimize the financial performance of asset portfolios, driving profitability and sustainable growth.
- Mentor and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 15–20 years experience in finance, accounting, or asset management, with at least 7 years in a senior financial leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACA) is highly desirable.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, and risk management within the asset management industry.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of driving financial performance.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards in asset management.
- Ability to develop and implement financial strategies that deliver measurable results and support long-term organisational growth.
- Must be willing to relocate
