Job Description

We are seeking a suitably qualified high performing professional to join our Immigration team in our Tax and Regulatory service line. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and applying relevant professional, regulatory, technical and industry standards in delivering clients’ projects/engagements while providing support to project team members.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to collaborate with other Deloitte member firms and work with several high-profile multinational organisations and develop their leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform expatriate case assessment to determine appropriate permit/visa option to minimize risk
  • Advise clients on the Ghanaian immigration requirements
  • Assist clients with full-stack immigration compliance
  • Assist clients to resolve immigration-related issues
  • Respond to all clients’ immigration queries, employee concerns and advise on the immigration guidelines, legal requirements, and procedures
  • Prepare permit applications accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain knowledge of changes in immigration policies/regulations and update clients in a timely manner.
  • Manage day-to-day client communication and build value-added client relationship
  • Work as a part of the unit’s business development team
  • Work effectively with other team members to manage engagements with clients. 

Qualifications

  • Must have graduated from a recognized University in Ghana or overseas with a minimum of second class upper in Business, Human Resource, Law, Management, or a related discipline.
  • A professional certification or a master’s degree will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar role.
  • Adept in understanding and application of the immigration laws of Ghana
  • Constructive and solutions focused approach to work.
  • Strong relationship with key regulators such as the Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Investment Promotion Center, Minerals Commission and Petroleum Commission.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Sound writing, oral communication, and presentation skills 
  • Proficiency in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
