Deloitte East Africa provides seamless cross-border services to multinationals, large national enterprises, small and medium sized enterprises and the public sector; with offices in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Deloitte Tanzania has an opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to join our Internal Client Services- Finance department as a Finance Intern in our Dar es Salaam office.

About the Department

Deloitte East Africa has a well-versed Internal Client Services unit positioned to deliver outstanding value and services needed to achieve Deloitte's vision. It enables client facing staff to work more efficiently and effectively. 

The Finance department provides management information and accounting services to client facing staff. The team provides the financial information and analysis required to support the business’s decision-making process. In addition, they are closely involved in the preparation of forecasts and financial plans and work with the departments to ensure client receivables are managed effectively and our cash and billings targets are met.

Job Description

  • Assist in posting DMS recharges for office, client and personal related printer, photocopying, telephone and Uber recharges;
  •  Assist in following up on payment approvals/ cheque signing;
  •  Assist to clear open items in the General Ledger;
  •  Assist in posting stationery and mail recharges;
  • Support timely communication and feedback to internal and external stakeholders;
  •  Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time. 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting from a recognized institution;
  • Attained or pursuing Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA);
  • Experience with SAP ERP is an added advantage;
  • Advanced computer usage skills in MS Office packages; 
  • Good verbal communication skills;
  • Good report writing skills;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Good problem solving skills;
  • Be a Tanzanian citizen.
