Job Description

Main Purpose of Job

  • To build a sustainable and mutually beneficial Talent Relationship with the Business through the provision of Top Talent as well as Talent Intelligence

Differentiators for this specific role

  • Ensure that workforce planning forms the foundation of your operational plan, with the cooperation and insight of strategic stakeholders within your business unit.
  • Ensure that you become a trusted Talent Advisor within the Business Unit through comprehensive communication and relationship development with key stakeholders.
  • Full accountability and ownership of all vacancies within the Business Unit.
  • Full accountability and ownership for the entire recruitment process within the business unit, this includes adherence to policies and procedures.
  • With candidates provided by the sourcing team, builds a healthy and engaged talent pipeline.
  • Full utilisation of the Coordination Team
  • Through Talent Intelligence and Initiatives ensure that you are able to strategically and proactively identify and build relationships with talent pools.
  • Ensure that you are consciously and actively marketing the Talent Team, your Business Unit and Deloitte through a variety of mediums and channels, this includes but is not limited to Social Media and Networking.
  • Building talent pools and industry related talent maps
  • Sourcing / headhunting by utilising Linkedin Recruiter and other platforms (Boolean searches etc.)
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to the recruitment process and the reporting thereof.

  • → Provides support to management in the implementation of change initiatives
  • → Works with team to complete work by set deadlines advising manager of any issues prior to deadlines

  • Raises effective solutions to address issues in area of expertise that may enhance / renew service offerings to client

  • Independently delivers quality work within area of expertise, within deadlines
  • Provides client/s with sound professional advice and support on issues arising within area of expertise without reference to superior
  • Applies solutions to technical issues that arise within area of expertise, with minimal input from management
  • Proactively researches latest thought leadership within area of expertise and share with team as input to improved delivery to clients
  • Communicates regularly with both line manager and client to meet deliverable expectations in specific area of expertise

  • Proactively identifies technical problems that arise that may affect delivery and propose resolutions to address these
  • Independently delivers on designated tasks within area of expertise
  • Provides line manager with detailed reporting on status of deliverables on a regular basis
  • Manages risk in area of engagement in alignment with Deloitte policies and processes
  • Reviews own work prior to submission to ensure quality and provide guidance to junior team members on quality standards

Development/Growth of Team

  • Shares expertise and knowledge with team members 
  • Actively works to address development areas identified
  • Coaches / mentors junior team members of the team
  • May act as counsellor to junior staff within the Service Line

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree

Desired Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification (relevant to Service Area / Business Management, etc.)

Minimum Experience

  • 5 years’ working experience within the relevant function

Desired Experience

  • 2 years at Consultant level within the function
