Job Description
What impact will you make?
This new adventure combines innovation (i.e., Cyber security for Smart cars), a real international environment (working from South Africa together with our Deloitte EMEA Cybersphere Center (ECC), based in Madrid, Spain, for the whole EMEA region) and a career path, helping you to evolve and grow as a cyber security professional whilst keep learning and training in Cyber.
Our Cyber family keeps growing and expanding our limits. We will provide managed cyber security services to our EMEA clients from our Cyber Intelligence Center based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
How you will make an Impact
This role requests to ensure the following requirements:
Minimal years’ experience as SOC analyst (Level 2 or Level 3 position): more than 4 years.
Experience in managing teams for ensuring a correct SOC service provision. It includes to interact with third-party actors, such as SIEM engineers, who are part of a SOC engagement, to provide the expected service.
Communication skills: English (Full professional capabilities).
Advanced knowledge on Cybersecurity.
Advanced knowledge on attack techniques and cyber threats.
Advanced knowledge on Operative Systems and Network.
Knowledge of operations in security tools and perimeter elements.
Experience in working with ticketing systems.
Experience in reporting and threat analysis.
Experience in working with SIEM solutions, i.e.:
Splunk
QRadar
Microsoft Sentinel
ArcSight
DEVO
Experience in identifying and defining cyber security logic (i.e., use cases) to enhance detection capabilities.
Experience in conducting advanced incident investigations and security alerts.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in a technical field (such as electronics, computer science, information technology or related fields)
Extended exposure to Cyber concepts (more than 4 years), using the common technologies (i.e., SIEM, EDR, etc.) to perform advanced investigations of triggered security incidents, reporting those based on findings and provide the required recommendations to mitigate them. Additionally, intelligence development (i.e., use cases definition) to enhance the monitoring capability. From a management perspective, previous experience in managing SOC L1/L2 team members, orchestrating the resources. Definition of on-call availability shifts for L2 team, evaluation of each team member and provision of the required feedback to the Service Line Responsible.

Graduates
Certifications in CyberSecurity and IT space (i.e., compTIA+, CySA+, OSCP, CHFI, CREST,…).
Certifications/specialised training provided by Cybersecurity vendors for their Cybersecurity products (i.e., SIEM, EDR, etc.).
High level of English. We also work with international teams!
Open to on-call shifts
