Job Description
Main Purpose of Job
This role is responsible for the preparation of the financial regulatory reports and consolidating the financial statements for Deloitte Africa. The incumbent should ensure adherence to statutory requirements and other legislations.

Financial regulatory reporting
- Prepare the consolidation pack to support the Deloitte & Touche Africa ("DTA") Financial statements
- Prepare the DTA group consolidation journals
- Prepare the DTA Financial Statements
- Prepare the consolidation pack to support the Deloitte & Touche South Africa ("DTSA") Financial statements
- Prepare the DTSA group consolidation journals
- Prepare the DTSA Financial Statements
- Prepare the consolidation pack to support the South African Partnership Financial statements
- Prepare the South African Partnership Financial Statements
- Review the Deloitte East African, West African and Southern Africa Regions Financial Statements
- Review quality of financial statements for other entities as required
- Oversee the dividend declaration process annually for the statutory entities
- AFS status update to Africa Board Audit Committee
- Manage overall external audit relationship and process
- Overall responsibility for Dormant AFS
- Drive SA legal structure clean-up and deregistration of Dormant entities
Taxation Management
- Collaboration with our tax advisors and Africa Tax team to ensure:
- The tax submissions are an accurate representation of the accounting records
- Tax submissions are submitted by deadline dates
- Tax status update to Africa Board Audit Committee
VAT Process
- Oversee and review VAT submission process including payment/refund
Policy, Process and Procedure
- Responsible for the quality of the Statutory/Compliance and tax accounting process
- Implementing policies, procedures and controls relating to Statutory, regulatory reporting and tax accounting
Quality and training
- Upskilling technical expertise within teams who are preparing AFS and other compliance documentation
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience Required
- CA (SA)
- 3 years in finance
Preferred
- CA (SA) at one of the big four
- 1 years in a management role
