Main Purpose of Job

We are looking for a Privacy and Data Protection Specialist to join our Operational Risk team as a Senior Manager. You will have a unique opportunity to shape and influence the digital transformation of our clients. This role will also provide you with exposure to risk assessing and addressing practical implementation challenges in areas such as data sharing and customer analytics.

Our data protection and privacy professionals assist our clients with the design and implementation of holistic and targeted solutions to meet and exceed the data privacy compliance requirements of utilising best practice, ethical operations, and regulation. 

You will have the opportunity to support the service / business area leadership in the implementation of a strategic plan, through the effective management of team/s, to improve the data privacy, cyber and organisational risk profiles of leading companies.

Qualifications

Required

LLB Degree with 5 to 8 years post articles legal experience

Admitted Attorney

Practice within the Privacy domain

Medium to large firm experience (Law firm/ Consulting)

 

Preferred

LLB Degree with 5 to 8 years post articles legal experience in Data Privacy

Senior Management experience

Leadership initiatives

Cross functional management experience (Legal/Cyber/Data Management) advantageous   

 

Specialized Technical capabilities

• Advise clients in creating repeatable strategic solutions for the management of data privacy

• Advise clients in global trends relating to data privacy requirements and work collaboratively with them to enhance capabilities

• Contribute to Deloitte’s thought leadership in client organizations and external market place

• Operate as a subject matter specialist on industry trends around data privacy and cyber risk practices

·       Ability to advise the client to make decisions that positively impact return on investment; provides subject matter expertise on industry trends, innovation efforts, and leading practices
