Main Purpose of Job:

This role will be responsible to support the Associate Director: Africa Transformation, Diversity & Inclusion (AD ATDI), in developing and driving long and short-term strategy and guiding the Africa Member Firm approach as it relates to all diversity and inclusion initiatives across our workforce.

This individual will contribute towards thought leadership, insights, measurement and strategic thinking, action planning and execution while partnering with key strategic stakeholders, both globally, in South Africa and the Regions, in order to drive and align the culture of the African Member Firm, as it relates to the global strategic imperatives in respect of Diversity & Inclusion.

This incumbent will supervise over, guide and support, the required actions from HRBP’s and Talent Partners. Will be responsible to oversee and manage Consultant In addition, this individual will be responsible to facilitate change management initiatives/interventions with the leadership of the firm in order to empower the leaders of our business with the tools and skills to enhance and uplift the strategic imperatives from a D&I perspective.

The ideal candidate will be a highly strategic individual, with excellent, judgement and decision making, out the box thinking, and excellent project management and change management capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

Relevant Honours/Postgraduate Degree

10 years in either HR, or Talent Management or Diversity and Inclusion

Exceptional Project Management

Exceptional Change Management

Excellent Judgement & Decision Making Skills

Deadline orientation in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated experience articulating a vision, translating it into executable strategy and driving cross-functional teams to deliver against the plan

Experience in translating external and internal trends into innovative practices

Proven track record of presenting to and facilitating firm initiatives with multiple stakeholders

Excellent Communication and Inter-personal experience at all levels within an organization

 

Preferred

5 of the minimum 10 years’ experience should be in people management with 2+ years D&I experience as an advantage.

  • Lead, inspire and develop subject matter expertise and strategy in regards to Diversity & Inclusion to produce measurable results directly aligned to the requirements of the Global Diversity & Inclusion and Talent & Transformation Strategies.

  • Support the Associate Director drive leadership awareness, commitment and accountability for the employee experience and diversity action plans across the business

  • Support the Associate Director in partnering with Global, Africa HRBP’s, Talent Acquisition, Reward and Analytics, Clients and Industries to guide on the implementation of D&I strategies as it relates to D&I eminence, leadership development, recruitment, performance management, promotion and succession, employee engagement and retention and in measuring progress and effectiveness of the diversity and inclusion strategy, for their respective areas.

  • Influence and support decisions relating to people practices and HR priorities through data analysis, measurement and recommendations for business that aligns with the firms shared values & beliefs and Global D&I strategies and best practise.

  • Partner with Communications (C&I) for relevant Communication and Eminence plans and campaigns for regular communication in regards to D&I initiatives, events and progress
