Job Description
As a key member of our regional shops team, you will drive commercial success across our three brands foodpanda, foodora, and Yemeksepeti. We are expanding our business into new verticals and the opportunities are endless. The Sales department is in charge of partnering with the retailers that want to sell their products through our marketplace. Should we get into this new segment? Should we extend our offer to that neighbourhood? How can we do it faster and more efficiently? As Manager, Shops Acquisition Strategy, you will be responsible to answers these questions defining and driving the sales strategy on how to offer the best supply to our customers across the 16 markets
The role will execute and implement a scalable vision for the shops business. This role requires close collaboration with local markets, strong stakeholder management, and advanced analytical skills to drive business growth and optimize shops acquisition efforts to drive our Q-Commerce business.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategy Ownership: Act as the primary owner of the acquisition growth strategy for shops business, driving its end-to-end development and execution and deciding the right retail partners we need in each category and country
- Market & Competitive Strategy: Leverage key components such as market coverage, competition analysis, pricing, and offers to craft effective strategies tailored to diverse market needs.
- Cross-Market Implementation: Lead the implementation of the strategy by working closely with local markets, ensuring alignment and consistency across countries.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and achieve buy-in for strategic initiatives.
- Data Analysis & Insights: Conduct deep data analysis to extract insights, identify opportunities, and track the performance of new acquisition strategies.
- Support Local Execution: Provide guidance and support to local teams, helping them integrate data-driven insights into their local execution plans.
- Commercial Enablement: Engage closely with country heads of sales and commercial directors to enable GTM strategies, understand shops performance, and unlock growth opportunities to drive shops acquisition growth on the platform.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in sales operations, strategy, or process improvement, in a multi-country or regional role [preferably in FMCG, e-commerce]
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights. Proficiency in SQL, Salesforce and BigQuery is a bonus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office Suite applications; experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels.
- A proactive mindset to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions that enhance sales team productivity.
- Experience working across multiple countries or regions, with a strong understanding of diverse market dynamics
