Job Description

YOUR MISSION

You will be at the heart of Glovo's Global Logistics and Operations team, owning the data work behind how we design, test, and optimize the order compensation structures that reward our riders across 23 countries. This is one of the highest impact areas in the company, rider payments are our largest operational cost, and every model you build or experiment you run translates directly into business outcomes at scale.

The environment is fast moving. Priorities shift and ad hoc requests come in regularly. This internship is built for someone curious, hands-on, and eager to learn how real operational decisions get made with data. You will be paired with experienced analysts who will mentor you along the way.

THE JOURNEY

  • Support the team in modelling and reviewing order payment structures that improve engagement and operational efficiency.

  • You will be using SQL to query large datasets to surface trends, answer business questions quickly, and build the analytical foundation for strategic decisions.

  • Translate findings into action. You will help present insights to non-technical stakeholders in a way that is concise and convincing.

  • Support the design and running of experiments that validate setting changes before global rollout. You will be exposed to the full cycle: design, execution, and analysis.

  • Leverage AI in your workflow. You will actively incorporate AI tools (agents, copilots, and LLM-assisted analysis) into your day to day work to move faster and work smarter.

  • Monitor and iterate. Track KPIs, spot anomalies, and make data driven adjustments on an ongoing basis.

  • Understand the rider perspective to ensure models are fair, locally relevant, and operationally sound.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Recently completed a degree or master's in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative field.

  • SQL is essential. You can write queries to pull and filter data, join tables, and aggregate results on your own.

  • Python familiarity. You can use pandas (or similar) to manipulate data and automate simple tasks.

  • Excel / spreadsheet familiarity. You know your way around formulas, pivot tables, and structuring data cleanly.

  • Strong problem-solving instincts. You can take an ambiguous question, break it down, and work toward a clear answer without waiting to be told exactly how.

  • Fluent English is a must. You communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience leveraging AI in your workflow: copilots, agents, or LLM-assisted analysis used to move faster and work smarter.

  • Exposure to data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).

  • Any exposure to experimentation (A/B testing, switchback tests, or similar).

We believe driven talent deserves:

  • 🍔 Monthly Glovo credit to satisfy your cravings!

  • 💳 Discounts on transportation, food, and even kindergarten expenses.

  • 🏊 Discounted gym memberships to keep you energized.

  • 🏖️ Extra time off, the freedom to work from home two days a week, and the opportunity to work from anywhere for up to three weeks a year!

  • 👪 Enhanced parental leave, and office-based nursery.

  • 🧠 Online therapy and wellbeing benefits to ensure your mental well-being.

Here at Glovo, we thrive on diversity, we believe it enhances our teams, products, and culture. We know that the best ideas come from a mashup of brilliant diverse minds. This is why we are committed to providing equal opportunities to talent from all backgrounds - all genders, racial/diverse backgrounds, abilities, ages, sexual orientations and all other unique characteristics that make you YOU.
