YOUR MISSION:

Glovo's team is looking for a Jr Accountant in the Finance Department who will set-up and lead in-house accounting.

THE JOURNEY:

• Support daily accounting activities, including posting journal entries and maintaining accurate records.
• Responsible for complying with local requirements related to tax and accounting.
• Assist accounting team in preparing reconciliations and executing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Support for preparation of  Statutory financial statements.
• Follow the changes in company policy, tax regulations and legislation.
• Ensure all original documents (contracts, acts, VAT declarations, etc.) align with the company's best interests.
• Support the preparation and coordination of the yearly external audit, 
• Ensure all accounting/financial Policies and Procedures are adopted in line with prevailing legislation.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in a multinational company in accounting.
• Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports.
• Knowledge of accounting procedures including IFRS standards.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and procedures
• Experience with general ledger functions 
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (ie. Pantheon or SAP)
• MS Office tools, focus on Excel.
• Accuracy and attention to detail- aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
