Job Description

The Director, Brand Lead will report into the VP of Marketing, Sales and Commercial Training, this position will lead the Marketing Team dedicated to developing brand strategy and execution within Deciphera’s and Ono’s Hematology portfolio. 

Key Responsibilities

Developing a Comprehensive Strategic Brand Plan (50%)

  • Align across functions to develop a comprehensive pre-launch and launch plan.
  • Develop brand strategies and a comprehensive promotional plan across audiences, both HCP and patient, and across platforms.
  • Lead Launch Readiness efforts cross-functionally.
  • Motivate and mobilize the entire commercial team and cross functional partners with a sense of purpose and urgency to optimize commercial strategy, and execute upon tactics and customer outreach in line with brand strategy.

Oversee the Product Marketing Team (40%)

  • Ensure integrated marketing plans across marketing colleagues to satisfy brand strategies.
  • Oversee one direct report to ensure commercial success for product and provide coaching/mentoring to develop talent pool for future success across the Hematology Franchise.

Act as Commercial representative for Life Cycle Management of the Product (10%)

  • Collaborate with both product program team and Medical Affairs to provide input on studies, publications and in the identification and engagement of KOLs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters plus 12+ years of experience of marketing and related experience in the Pharma industry.
  • Launch experience required, Hematology preferred, with a demonstrated track record of commercial success in positions with progressive responsibilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical, regulatory, legal review process in the US.
  • Excellent people management skills and experience.

Preferred Experience

  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Hematology experience and relationships with KOLs preferred
  • Commercial cross functional experience a plus i.e. sales, market access etc.

Additional Information

Deciphera is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary pay range for this role is $198,000 - $273,000. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to depth of experience, education, skillset, overall performance and/or location.​
