Job Description
This position will be full-time onsite in Hazleton, PA. A successful Recruiter will collaborate with department managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs. You should also be able to attract candidates using various sources, like social media networks and employee referrals. Our ideal Recruiter holds an academic HR background combined with work experience in screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates. Ultimately, the responsibilities of the Recruiter are to ensure our company attracts, hires, and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
- Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives.
- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc.
- Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media etc.
- Screen candidates resumes and job applications.
- Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule.
- Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes.
- Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.
- Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team.
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
- Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”.
Skills
- 3 Years of Recruitment experience.
- Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)
- Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based)
- Hands on experience with various selection processes.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) -Smart Recruiters
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- A demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service and the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate ability to build relationships with clients, candidates, team members and cross-functional team members.
- A reliable, detail oriented, organized individual with an exceptional work ethic.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of employment laws and staffing practices
- Possess a “process improvement” mind set.
- Tech savvy; including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, and Social Media platforms.
- Experience working within applicant tracking system Smart Recruiters a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: articulate, assertive, and confident.
- Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated mentality.
- Demonstrates code of ethics, professional responsibility, dependability, and high level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to work independently and collaborate with peers, hiring managers and senior management when appropriate.
