Job Description

What you will do:

  • Design, build, and maintain frontend applications and user interfaces that power various features within our Studio platform

  • Work across our technology stack—primarily React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and REST APIs—building responsive, accessible web applications 

  • Tackle complex technical challenges in video player integration, content management workflows, creator dashboards, and interactive user experiences 

  • Make pragmatic architectural decisions, balancing technical excellence with creator needs and business objectives 

  • Produce clear, comprehensive technical specifications that enable seamless collaboration across multiple engineering teams 

  • Be highly responsive in your communications—answer questions promptly, provide timely updates, and keep stakeholders informed 

  • Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and learning from others 

  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code that others can understand and build upon 

  • Champion engineering best practices including testing, documentation, accessibility, performance optimization, and operational excellence 

Qualifications

What we’re looking for 

  • 5+ years of frontend engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping production applications at scale 

  • Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript (these are our primary technologies) 

  • Experience with both GraphQL and REST APIs, including client-side data fetching, caching strategies, and state management 

  • Comfort leveraging AI-assisted workflows for prototyping, debugging, testing, or documentation, with a clear understanding of their limitations 

  • Deep understanding of frontend fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, browser APIs, responsive design, and web performance 

  • Strong knowledge of modern frontend architecture patterns (component design, state management, routing) 

  • Understanding of web performance optimization, lazy loading, code splitting, and bundle optimization 

  • Understanding of CSS methodologies and modern styling solutions (CSS Modules, Styled Components, Tailwind, or similar) 

  • Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows 

  • Track record of working independently and delivering results with minimal supervision 

  • Experience at a product company or startup where you've had to figure things out with limited resources
