We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer System Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer department within the System R&D unit. This position is pivotal in advancing wireless power transfer technology for European Union (EU) applications. The successful candidate will contribute strategically and technically, ensuring the development and integration of innovative solutions in the field of dynamic wireless power transfer. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Support planning, execution, and evaluation of technical and business case demonstrations for DWPT systems. 
  • Use demonstration results, pilot projects, and stakeholder input to derive, refine, and document system and product requirements. 
  • Act as a key technical interface toward external partners, including vehicle OEMs, fleet operators, infrastructure providers, and governmental bodies. 
  • Coordinate and align technical inputs from internal engineering teams and external stakeholders. 
  • Translate external needs, use cases, and constraints into clear system requirements and boundary conditions. 
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, summaries, and decision-support materials for internal and external audiences. 
  • Clearly document outcomes, action items, and next steps from workshops, demonstrations, and meetings. 
  • Monitor and analyze latest technology, market, regulatory, and standardization trends related to DWPT, electrification, and infrastructure.

  • Vehicle OEMs (engineering, advanced development, and business teams) 
  • Fleet operators and mobility service providers 
  • Infrastructure companies and utilities 
  • Public authorities and governmental organizations 
  • Internal R&D, system engineering, product planning and business development teams 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Experience in system engineering, preferably in electrification, wireless power transfer, or energy systems. 
  • Experience with requirements definition at system or product level. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to diverse audiences. 
  • Proven ability to create clear, structured, and visually strong presentations. 
  • Experience working with external partners and cross-organizational stakeholders. 
  • Structured working style with strong summarization and action-tracking capabilities. 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of vehicle systems, charging infrastructure, and energy management. 
  • Experience with demonstrations, pilots, proof-of-concept, or field validation projects. 
  • Understanding of business case development and techno-economic assessments. 
  • Familiarity with market, regulatory, and standardization trends in mobility and infrastructure. 
  • International and cross-cultural working experience. 
  • Clear and confident communicator. 
  • Strong ability to structure complex information and derive clear conclusions. 
  • Proactive and stakeholder-oriented mindset. 
  • Ability to work in high-uncertainty, early-stage development environments. 
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
