Job Description

As a Staff/Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be:

  • Responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of hardware and software components into our CycloRotor products
  • Responsible for guiding the team in applying the DO-178 (ED-12), and ARP4754 / ARP4761 (ED-79 / ED-135) standards and methods towards certifiable products
  • Providing technical guidance and feedback to your team members and other engineers
  • Preparing and presenting technical reports and documentation for internal and external purposes 

Qualifications

What you must bring:

  • Master’s degree / PhD in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, embedded systems engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in designing and developing HW and SW systems for electric aircraft or similar safety critical applications
  • At least 4 years of experience in an aerospace design organization (DO) practicing DO-178, CVE experience is a plus
  • Very good ARP4754/61 and DO178C know-how
  • Familiarity with DO254 and DO160
  • Familiarity with CS-E or Part 33
  • Thorough understanding of the principles and technologies of aerospace embedded systems
  • Pragmatic approach allowing to bridge the gap between prototyping and certification
  • Track record of implementing automation across V&V activities
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced English language skills, German knowledge is a plus
