Job Description

We are looking for a Performance Engineer with hands-on experience, great problem-solving skills, and self-learning ability. You should be highly motivated and have excellent interpersonal skills. A performance engineer who will identify performance and stability issues, preferably in the early stages of design, find the root cause, and suggest solutions or better design

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the software Performance focal point in the R&D team, lead and centralize all the relevant activities, consulting, and guidance for performance and functionality for the team

  • Provide actionable tasks to R&D by analysing performance results and tracking benchmarks.

  • Design, execute, and analyse scalability, stability, and load tests.

  • Review new features and assess the Performance Risk

  • Investigate Production/customer issues/tickets when needed

  • Own and maintain the performance lab environment

  • Provide production resource settings and optimization

Qualifications

  • Database performance. Tuning databases, finding performance issues and configuration issues 

  • Performance Engineering hands-on experience, including designing, executing, and analysing enterprise software.

  • Knowledge of Linux

  • Knowledge of networking

  • Knowledge of application servers

  • Knowledge of databases performance 

Advantages:

  • Experience in software development

  • Experience with Web Protocol; additional protocols are an advantage.

  • Experience with developing scripts in Python, Shell, and Bash is an advantage

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP

  • Understanding concepts of multi-threading, cache, memory management.

  • Ability to identify and resolve system bottlenecks using profiling tools 

  • Experience with CI/CD process and tools 

Education / Experience:

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Self-learning ability
