Job Description
The Senior Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans that raise awareness and drive revenue growth across our channel partners. This role will be a part of the marketing team aligning their efforts with the overall Current strategy and plan. They will collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, commercial sales, and product management teams to develop a robust channel plans for reaching targeted personas. The role is a mix of strategy, planning, execution, and performance measurement to ensure investments yield great ROMI. The Senior Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for managing direct reports and will report to the Director of Channel Marketing and Training.
This position is located at Current headquarters in Greenville, SC or our Austin, TX office; however periodic travel to support remote training and industry events is required. This role requires 4 days a week in the office and 1 day remote.
Essential Responsibilities:
- In depth knowledge and understanding of the lighting industry, go to market channels and personas, with ability to develop annual marketing strategies that drive growth across our channel partners
- Manage annual contracts and rebate incentive programs that increase engagement and reward customers based on volume commitment and loyalty
- Create value proposition, messaging, and content in coordination with channel managers to create marketing assets to execute programs, campaigns, and paid sponsorships
- Analyze the lighting industry and conduct competitive benchmarks that highlight where we can win and industry best practices
- Deliver targeted marketing campaigns across our channel partners to raise awareness and drive demand of new products, programs, service tools and other key initiatives to drive growth
- Develop and execute annual promotions, and commercialize with our sales team and channel partners
- Collaborate with our sales RVPs to develop to execute strategic plans and effectively use marketing development funds to boost sales of Current’s portfolio of solutions
- Manage the overall marketing content and maintenance across our MarTech infrastructure in addition to managing STEP/STIBO and PIM data feeds to improve the overall eCommerce and Lighting Exchange experience
- Collaborate with commercial sales, brand leaders and lighting industry & education liaison to align the training curriculum to drive growth across our industry leading brands and portfolio of solutions
- Own annual budget development, purchase order creation and invoice tracking while managing third-party vendors and agencies for the department
- Report channel success through establishing clear metrics to measure and track performance against expectations; suggest and implement additional strategies to drive positive contributions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college; Marketing or Communications; MBA preferred
- 8-10 years of B2B channel marketing experience
- 5 years of LED Lighting or Electrical industry preferred
- 5 years of direct supervisory experience
- Participating member of industry associations such as IES with leadership involvement preferred
- Lighting Certification (LC) from NCQLP a plus
- Strong financial acumen and proficient with Power BI and excel managing large data sets to provide reporting and creating dashboards to support improved decision-making
- Results-driven and highly motivated extrovert with strong communication and influencing skills, able to represent channel marketing and contribute to strategic discussions to achieve desired outcomes
- Hands on experience developing channel programs and managing Industry leading MarTech platforms and customer facing partner portals
- Excellent interpersonal skills developing strong cross-functional working relationships with sales, customers and industry organizations while influencing at all levels
- Strong organization, planning, writing, creative, and project management skills with experience reporting performance to broader teams
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, works with minimal supervision, and manages multiple projects with ability to pivot and prioritize
- 25% travel to industry tradeshow/events and strategic channel partner meetings
Compensation
The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $95,000-$120,000.
