Job Description

  • Learn how to review and monitor manufacturing’s daily painted items utilizing the unloading operators as a resource for issues to be evaluated.  

  • Receive training from quality personnel on how to make appropriate determination on whether parts with issues are to be rejected or accepted.  

  • Observe and learn from quality personnel how to communicate issues to the department manager and the paint booth personnel.  

  • Learn when to notify Paint Department Manager and QC Manager of issues that are repeated.  

  • Receive training from quality personnel on how to document QC reports on issues found and tag the material for the appropriate disposition (rework, scrap).  

  • Receive training on assisting in reworks, part sorting, and incoming inspection  

  • Receive training on how to properly use all tools and gages for quality inspections  

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and decipher work orders and blueprints  

  • Effective problem identification and solution skills  

  • Basic computer skills required   

  • Ability to lift 30-40 lbs. and maneuver 50 lbs.  

  • Must have the ability to fully understand directives/instruction and effectively communicate matters concerning safety, quality and productivity
