Current Lighting has an immediate opening for a Field Service Engineers in the Southern California area. As a valuable member of our Field Service team, your commitment to excellence in customer satisfaction, enthusiasm for troubleshooting complex systems, and eagerness to embrace new technology will make a significant impact. At Current, we provide a comprehensive range of onsite services that cater to our customers' lighting needs at every stage, starting from the initial design phase all the way through implementation, ongoing management, and continuous enhancement of their lighting environment.

In this position, you will play a vital role as a Field Service Engineer, serving as an expert on Current lighting control systems at customer sites. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring proper system startup and delivering exceptional post-installation service. Your contribution is integral to our customer-focused business model, as we believe our customers are the foundation of our success. Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to Current customers
  • Proficiency in the field servicing all Current Lighting systems while following procedure
  • Collaborate with on-site contractors and facility managers to ensure precise system installation
  • Prioritize lifecycle product service, including troubleshooting, repair, end-user training, and upgrades
  • Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Independently work from customer sites to adapt to their evolving needs and priorities
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in legacy systems and products
  • Continuously develop and maintain technical knowledge of lighting control systems, including new products and technologies

  • Relay Voice of Customer to internal leadership team to ensure business is knowledgeable of specifications needed or enhancements required

Qualifications

  • Possess 3+ years of combined work/college/trade school experience, installing, troubleshooting, and training on complex systems
  • Technical degree and/or certifications in related field are preferred
  • Display exceptional customer service skills, maintaining professional interactions with a wide range of customers, including contractors and specifiers
  • Willingness to travel, with a minimum requirement of 50% of the time, which could include an uncommon occurrence of nights and weekends
  • Ability to work directly with customers onsite
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency, including file management, Outlook/Teams, interpersonal communication software, web navigation, and Microsoft-based productivity software. Familiarity with networking is beneficial
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced work schedule, while maintaining excellent organization skills
  • Capability to work independently with minimal and remote supervision
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must successfully pass background checks and drug screens, as required

Compensation

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more.  This salary range is 75,000-100,000.
