Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Training Manager to lead and develop all training, onboarding, and compliance activities across our campus operation.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring colleagues are trained, competent, and compliant with company, customer, and legislative requirements. You'll drive a positive learning culture through the development and delivery of training programmes, coaching initiatives, and competency frameworks that support both operational excellence and colleague development.
Leading a team of MHE Trainers, you'll oversee all training activities, manage training platforms, and work closely with operational leaders to ensure training supports business performance, safety, and workforce capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the site's training strategy, ensuring compliance with company, customer, and legislative requirements.
- Manage and maintain all SOP and SSOW training programmes, ensuring training records remain accurate and up to date.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of MHE Trainers, ensuring consistent, high-quality training delivery.
- Manage the onboarding and induction process for new starters, agency workers, and indirect colleagues.
- Coordinate coaching, upskilling, and development programmes to improve colleague capability and performance.
- Partner with operational leaders to identify training needs, close capability gaps, and improve workforce competency.
- Manage the Nvolve training platform, ensuring compliance, training records, and competency tracking are maintained.
- Develop and enhance training pathways for operational, supervisory, management, and support function colleagues.
- Implement and improve buddy programmes and coaching frameworks to support colleague development.
- Produce training compliance reports, competency metrics, and development plans for stakeholders.
- Attend labour planning meetings and maintain a rolling training pipeline aligned to operational requirements.
- Support audits, customer visits, and compliance reviews.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, learning, safety, and operational excellence across the campus.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Previous experience in a Training Manager, Learning & Development Manager, Training Lead, or similar role within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of training compliance, competency management, SOPs, and Safe Systems of Work.
- Experience managing training platforms and maintaining training records and compliance reporting.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a training team.
- Experience delivering onboarding, induction, coaching, and development programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify capability gaps and implement practical solutions.
- Good working knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multi-functional teams.
- A proactive, adaptable, and results-driven approach with strong attention to detail.
