We are now recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join our Team at Fowler Welch Hilsea on a Full time and permanent position with rates of pay up to £17.16 per hour
Shifts available:
Please be advised that shift times for the first 13 weeks will be 17:00pm-05:00am and then 19:00pm-07:00am after the first 13 weeks.
- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
- Wednesday to Saturday.
Rates:
- Basic hourly rate - £13.20 per hour.
- Overtime rate - £17.16 per hour.
Job Description
You will be using a ride on PPT to load and unload trailers, putting pallets into consolidation lanes and reloading from these lanes onto empty trailers.
- To ensure the correct documentation is completed for all inbound and despatch loads.
- Reporting any trailer or MHE faults in line with company procedures and ensuring VOR vehicles are placed in the designated areas.
- To remain vigilant in ensuring goods are picked and assembled accurately as per instructions.
- To ensure despatched loads are properly secured prior to leaving the loading bay.
- To reach and maintain the standards required to meet the Company's productivity targets.
- Ensure all practices and procedures are safely carried out in line with the company’s Health & Safety policy, SSOW’s and HACCP regulations, where appropriate, and to challenge colleagues who fail to adhere to any such rules or regulations.
- Ensure that company standards of hygiene and housekeeping are achieved and maintained.
- Ensure customer returns are received, recorded and notified to the appropriate Stock Controller.
- To assist the Stock Controllers/Team Leaders/Supervisor as and when required.
- To assist colleagues when required and to behave in a harmonious, courteous manner at all times.

Qualifications
- Previous experience using a PPT and/or MHE is essential for this position.
- Ability to work within a chilled/cold environment.
- Experience of working within an environment where achieving deadlines and quality of work are critical.
- Understanding of verbal and numerical reasoning.
- Conscientious and reliable nature.
- Positive 'can do' attitude.
