We are now looking for a Hygiene operative to join our team at Great Bear Harworth on a Full time and permanent position.
Shift: Monday- Friday AM and PM weekly rotation.
Salary: £12.21 per hour.
Job Description
The role-holder will be required to be responsible for and undertake the following tasks:
- Ensure all practices and procedures are carried out in line with Health & Safety policy and HACCP plan
- To ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the facility, paying attention to fixtures, fittings and signage
- Bins to be emptied daily, polythene waste to be baled and moved to designated area ready for collection.
- Floors to be swept and washed in line with the hygiene schedule
- Detailed cleaning of warehouse barrier work, racking and picking slots to ensure optimum levels of food safety and hygiene.
- All works to be documented
- Proactively identify and report any defects or maintenance issues to line manager.
- Maintain a clean as you go attitude and ensure potential hazards are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
- Cleaning Materials to be used appropriately, as instructed and economically.
- All cleaners will be required to use electrical / mechanical equipment i.e. floor scrubbers and washers after relevant training.
- Working at heights
- It is required to use only approved cleaning materials – in line with manufacturers’ instructions and the COSHH regulations.
- To be aware of Health and Safety for self and others at all times.
- To support the wider Facilities and Site functions as required, subject to appropriate knowledge/training.

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cleaner
- Working within a logistics/warehouse environment.
- A can do attitude
- Ability to work at height for extended periods
- A high degree of reliability
- Working well in a team
- Ability to work to challenging deadlines in a pressurised environment
