Job Description
We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our IT team at our Rugby site.
As Business Analyst you will design, develop and implement Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS) and enhance existing systems to support operational efficiencies and improvements through effective business analysis and system design.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a market leader.
Due to the location of our site, you will need to drive to get to and from.
Job responsibilities of TOB TITLE include:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution, to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization.
- Gather and analyse data from various sources, such as ERP systems, logistics software, and industry reports, to provide actionable insights and recommendations for process enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with overall logistics objectives and strategic initiatives
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure logistics performance and track progress towards operational goals.
- Prepare and present data-driven reports, visualizations, and dashboards to communicate findings and support decision-making at various levels of the organization.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and technology solutions to streamline logistics operations, improve accuracy, and reduce costs.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in logistics, and recommend relevant innovations for adoption.
- Support the implementation and testing of new systems or process changes, collaborating with IT and operational teams to ensure successful deployment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Provide ongoing support and expertise to stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
To apply for the role of Business Analyst you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse complex data sets, identify trends, and derive meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, or data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution processes.
- Knowledge of logistics systems and software (e.g., WMS, TMS) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
