Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a detailed-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage full-cycle invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate ensures accurate financial record-keeping while maintaining strong vendor relationships and strict adherence to internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing & Verification: Receive, code, and enter vendor invoices into UNANET
  • Payment Execution: Schedule and process AP checks according to payment terms
  • Vendor Management: Maintain accurate vendor records, update W-9 forms, track 1099 eligibility, and resolve billing discrepancies or missing documentation.
  • Reconciliation & Month-End Close: Reconcile AP sub-ledgers against general ledger (GL) control accounts and reconcile monthly vendor statements.
  • Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports to ensure alignment with corporate travel and expense guidelines.

    Qualifications

    • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
    • 2+ years of direct Accounts Payable experience
    • Proficiency in EXCEL
    • Experience with Accounting Software
    • High attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
