ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an onsite internship in Houston, TX for Summer 2025.

We’re committed to helping our interns learn multiple facets of engineering, and they will leave this position with invaluable skills and industry knowledge.  As an intern, you will be exposed to a variety of functions and have opportunities to enrich your education and development through hands-on and engaging assignments, learn problem solving methods, and be able to innovate and create measurable value for our business.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop, design, and deliver structural solutions to ensure they are meeting customer, business, operational, and team goals
  • Perform actual and estimated weight analysis to understand business impact of designs and show good judgement when making suggestions
  • Prepare technical design reports
  • Bring new insights into engineering tools, processes, and best practices
  • Drive communication and collaboration within cross-functional workgroups
  • Understand the role in the overall system and be willing to step outside that role when required.
  • Assist in managing all testing and certification requirements such as TDI, Florida Product Approvals, Miami Dade NOA’s, FM approvals, and ICC Reports for all metal sheathing products.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Currently pursuing a BS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Preferred – Successful completion of relevant steel design courses
