Machine Operator Day Shift

Job Description
JOB DETAILS
Day Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Monday - Friday)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must have the aptitude to be trained to operate various machines and be able to follow specific directions and instructions to produce customer orders correctly
- Setup machinery to perform requested operations for customer orders requiring the ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills
- Constantly work safely and comply with all safety regulations
- Operate machines to produce the correct items for orders while standing in an upright position for extended periods of time and moving about on foot
- Will be trained to use forklift to transport heavy weight metal coils
- Willingness to participate daily in shop cleaning responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by performing all duties safely and efficiently according to company and OSHA safety guidelines
- Wear the proper protective equipment as required
- May assist in reporting inventory levels to management
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree
- 3 years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing is preferred
- Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Must have a high attention to detail to consistently produce quality product
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, and near acuity
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.
