Job Description
Job Summary:
The role of an Install Technician III play a pivotal role in the successful installation and implementation of security systems, ensuring that our clients' needs are met with the highest level of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
Installation of Security Systems:
Install, configure, and maintain a wide range of security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and other security technologies.
Cabling and Wiring:
Proficiently run and terminate low-voltage cabling, ensuring that all installations adhere to industry standards and best practices.
System Integration:
Integrate and troubleshoot various security system components to ensure they function as a cohesive unit, offering clients a comprehensive security solution.
Equipment Setup:
Configure and program security equipment, such as cameras, access control panels, and alarms, according to project specifications and customer requirements
Quality Assurance:
Perform system tests and inspections to ensure the installed systems operate efficiently and meet quality standards.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all installation activities, including wiring diagrams, configuration settings, and project documentation.
Customer Support:
Provide training and technical support to clients on system operation and functionality, addressing any concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards during installation projects to ensure a safe working environment.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with security systems, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' operations.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to coordinate and execute installation projects within specified timelines and budgets.
Other Duties: Other duties assigned within reason of current role previously specified.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics or related field is preferred.
10 + years of proven experience in the installation and maintenance of security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection. Working on projects over 100K.
2+ product-specific certifications helpful; industry-specific certifications desired; must have or be able to obtain applicable state and/or local required industry licenses as required by state law; Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Intimate knowledge of field hardware.
Ability to read and understand design drawings, PWS, requirements docs, and typical. Understand Life Safety and building codes.
Ability to discern need for escalated support and communicate need for help.
The colleague must frequently lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The position may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use such as safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes or work boots, as required on job site. May require safety vest. All items are the responsibility of the Electrical Installer to provide.
Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans
Excellent understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support)
Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted.
Ability to configure basic networks, configure servers and workstations, applications and basic OS support. Should be able to communicate with Client Stakeholders
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Proficient construction skills and understanding of system plans
Excellent understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support)
Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted.
Basic technical programming skills
Excellent customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. work with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.)
Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Security Clearances: This position requires Top Secret a security clearance. The clearance requirements are determined by the agency(s) in which you are assigned.
