    Job Description

    As an Assembly Tech 1 or 2, you will be responsible for:

    • Performing machine assembly and other assembly support functions.
    • Supporting critical manufacturing success areas in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
    • Meeting specification requirements for the product and following defined quality system requirements (work instructions, standard work, auditing), improving indicators.
    • Using basic problem-solving skills.
    • Participating as an active member of the production team and filling in where needed.
    • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    This position works on 2nd shift: 12:00pm - 10:00pm, Monday-Thursday. Pay rate is based on experience: $15.00 – 40.00/hour. The differential for 2nd shift is $2.00/hour!

    Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS – ASSEMBLY TECH 1

    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Basic assembly skills, using hand tools including wrench, screwdriver, hammer, and drill; basic measurement skills using a tape measure.
    • Basic mechanical experience.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
    • Ability to work 8-hour shift.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS – ASSEMBLY TECH 2

    All basic qualifications required for Assembly Tech 1, and:

    • Minimum of 3 years of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment assembling components.
    • Intermediate, demonstrated mechanical knowledge, including the use of bridge cranes, specialized production tooling, and torque wrenches.
    • Intermediate measurement skills using calipers.
    • Experience with the safe operation of a pallet jack.
    • Use of forklift may be required, depending on role.
    • Ability to perform tasks outside of department as needed.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in 2 or more work areas.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Basic computer skills, including the use of Microsoft applications and Outlook.
    • General understanding of basic safety procedures.
    • High School Diploma or Equivalency (HSE). Company may provide assistance in acquiring HSD/HSE.
