Job Description
- Industrialize new products and new technology into production.
- Ensure close working interface as business partner between plant and R&D.
- Provide technical support by triggering the necessary industrialization activities and business improvement measures.
- Oversee introduction, development and maintenance of specifications.
- Assess plant readiness based on future R&D requirements in terms of invest and capacity.
- Drive process to translate R&D requirements into tangible impacts on the plant ( in terms of invest, capacity, capability).
- Initiate Value Leadership measures to improve the direct material and process costs according to plant objectives.
- Ensure introduction of new raw materials and / or compounds on time with consideration of the local manufacturing process capabilities.
- Ensure the creation and distribution of all related specifications in the assigned systems.
- Lead structured problem solving tasks/projects for industrialization challenges in the plant.
- Ensure that internal KPIs are met on a consistent basis and initiate structured problem solving tasks in case of deviations.
- Promote teamwork and efficient distribution of tasks within business team concept within the plant organization.
- Supervises and manages projects related to industrialization and continuous improvement.
- Ensure implementation of measures and maintain controls.
- Raise awareness and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties.
- Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards.
- Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Rubber Technology or related filed.
- Profound experience in compounding, preferably in the Tire industry or other industrial manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years experience in material and compound.
- Strong problem solving, planning and organizational skills.
- Working in a large international corporation and in complex matrix organizations.
- Demonstrated intercultural sensitivity and inclusive behavior.
- Communicating effectively and working under time pressure.
- Fluent in English communication.
