Job Description

The business area "UX" develops and produces leading edge display solutions for the automotive industry, found in car brands from all over the world. The product portfolio includes cluster-, central- as well as heads-up-displays (HUD) integrated into the automotive interior.
To ensure the highest level of know-how is available world-wide, the process development center "Technikum UX" is tasked with defining, developing and rolling out new industrial production processes for our world-wide operating business area.

As a member of the team of process experts working within this department, you will therefore play a pivotal role in shaping the future of automation technologies within this business area, focusing on glue dispensing technologies for our products.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Technology Development: Spearheading the development of cutting-edge automation technologies, specifically focusing on advancing glue dispensing technologies within the automotive display sector
  • Functional Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team of technicians within the Production Development Team. Collaborating closely to refine existing standards and pioneer the creation of new benchmarks in automation
  • Global Impact: Taking worldwide responsibility for the technological development within the business area. Contributing to the establishment of global standards and ensuring the alignment of automation technologies with international market needs
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Working collaboratively with a team of experts across various technological areas. Engaging in interdisciplinary projects to widen your own skill set and contributing to the collective success of the team
  • Innovation and Research: Staying on the leading edge of technological advancements in the automotive UX field. Continuously researching and integrating emerging technologies into the business area's automation and joining strategy
  • Key Contributor: Playing a pivotal role in a team of experts, contributing significantly to the success of the entire business. Your expertise in adhesive joint automation will be instrumental in achieving and maintaining a competitive edge in the market

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, robotics, mechatronics or a related field
  • Long term experience in automation, ideally with a focus on adhesive joints and on automotive UX or display technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of glue dispensing technologies and a track record of implementing successful automation solutions in the industry
  • Good German and English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Global mindset and experience in managing projects with international scope
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, think strategically, and contribute to the overall success of the business
