Our Auburn Hills, MI location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join the Hydraulic Brake System Team. Responsible for customer related programs within entire life cycle, acquisition through end of production. The ideal candidate has Automotive experience in Engineering or Customer Projects.

Job Description

  • The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of project development.
  • Primary responsibilities, are the coordination of all application development and project management tasks, including resource planning, timing, project budget, industrialization, and ensuring project quality.
  • The project manager will be the primary point of contact with the customer team for the project.
  • The Project Manager will be responsible of leading a global cross-functional team of engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, finance and purchasing to develop the project to the planned timing within target budget and meeting customer expectations.
  • The Project Manager will need to create baselines to execute project, establish monitoring mechanisms with multi discipline project team, and perform recovery and escalation in time to avoid milestone shifts.
  • The Project Manager will be required to balance customer and internal needs, and prioritize activities together with the project stakeholders

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field
  • Minimum 7 years of Automotive experience in Engineering or Customer project teams
  • Deep understanding of Continental WBS PLC and change management processes
  • Experience with change management within safety component suppliers
  • Strong leadership and drive
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with global development teams
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a customer interface position
  • Intercultural experience or experience with international project teams
  • Ability to travel 10% annually internationally and domestically

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 10 years of Automotive experience in Engineering or Customer project teams
    • Master's degree in Engineering or Business 
    • Ford / Stellantis processes experience
    • Strong Written and Verbal communication skills
    • PMP Certification
