Job Description

For our AI Lab in Berlin we are looking for a student (m/f/diverse) for a 6 months mater thesis starting as soon as possible.

We seek a passionate Master's student (m/f/diverse) to explore the cutting-edge field of foundational multimodal models. Your mission will be to research and develop innovative methods for fine-tuning these models, aiming for automatic and interpretable labeling within autonomous driving datasets. This is an onsite position, offering hands-on experience in the heart of Berlin. You will work in a dedicated, innovative team of Continental employees (m/f/diverse) and Ph.D. students (m/f/diverse).

Your tasks will consist of the following:

  • Collaborate on researching State-of-the-Art (SOTA) solutions in foundational multimodal models
  • Develop and implement these models for labeling selected autonomous driving datasets
  • Fine-tune mechanisms to enhance method performance
  • Conduct thorough experiments to evaluate solution effectiveness
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and contribute to the publication of the curated dataset and method in a high-ranking conference

Qualifications

  • Master students in the field of computer science, machine learning, AI, computer vision, robotics or a related field of study
  • Familiarity with computer vision techniques, multimodal models and deep learning models
  • Advanced programming skills in Python
  • Experience with Docker, PyTorch, OOP and Git is advantagous
  • Fluent English language skills, written and spoken (Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions in the area of autonomous driving)
  • Independent, creative and proactive working style
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good presentation, oral and written communication skills highly desirable
