Job Description

  • Responsibility for the development and continuous improvement of the internal control system for sustainability reporting
  • Responsibility for the handling of the necessary assurance processes for reasonable or limited assurance with the auditor, including especially the planning of the timeline and audit steps
  • Ensuring adequate support for the data owners and reporting units in establishing relevant ICS processes
  • Participation in the continuous assessment of the relevant ICS requirements for sustainability reporting in close collaboration with the general internal control system and the auditor(s)
  • Implementation of controls and validation steps for the relevant key figures in the ongoing reporting of the KPI owners
  • Monitoring of controls in the respective data collection processes of Group functions including the documentation of the controls
  • Collaboration in the continuous adaptation of the Sustainability Accounting and Reporting Standards
  • Support of the implementation and editorial preparation of the sustainability statement
  • Participation in the relevant industry initiatives, committees and associations
  • Actively contribute to the successful implementation of Continental's sustainability ambition

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in business/economics, social sciences, law or comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in the areas of finance and accounting, and / or audit management of an industrial company
  • Extensive knowledge of the relevant regulatory and other requirements (esp. IDW PS 982, ISAE 3000, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, DRS 20, GRI, SASB, ...)
  • Confident use of MS Office programs (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and SAP, Power BI knowledge of Advantage
  • Experience in handling relevant ICS or Assurance handling tools
  • Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills
  • Very structured working approach by using relevant tools and methods
  • Good networking and communication skills as well as networking in the international community for sustainability reporting is desirable
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability to area of responsibility
