Job Description

Receiving inspection Engineer 

This person ensures all suppliers and the materials they provide are in compliance with engineering and manufacturing specifications and company and government standards. They secure and work directly with suppliers 

  • Review engineering and manufacturing specifications to identify materials needed for product assembly for all manufactured goods
  • supplier quality engineers identify technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective actions.
  • They also increase quality reliability, use their engineering skills to execute tools for calibration systems, and regulate product transition requirements. Another principal tasks for SQEs is to maintain accurate quality records, certifications, and database screens.
  • They also conduct capability assessments that verify supplier qualifications,  These professionals also must manage process controls, establishing schedules for reviewing supplier and quality performance. In addition, supplier quality engineers measure readiness throughout the product development cycle.
  • Communicate with supplier  regularly to address any concerns and foster an environment that facilitates continual improvement in working relationships
  • Understand and interpret all manufacturing audits, including IATF 16949  and other industry standards
  • Assist with logistics, including communications with supplier  when there are packaging and receiving issues when materials arrive at receiving dock
  • Coordinate with purchasing department to monitor supplier performance, generating regular reports and administering corrective actions as necessary
  • Support new product launches, ensuring compliance with established standards
  • carry out  yearly stock  takes  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field,
  • Strong English verbal & written communication skills  
  • Knowledge of quality system methodologies, such as Pareto Analysis and Six Sigma
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • knowledge in PPAP , control plan, PFEMA , process flow Chart
