Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
In this role you will lead the responsible use of AI across the organisation, ensuring scalable, value-driven adoption. The AI implementation lead will act as a bridge between business functions and technology, guiding use case development, enabling citizen development, and embedding AI best practices in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for a highly innovative and practical (driving innovation while staying grounded in operational realities), result-driven (problem-solving, analytical), and agile (start small and iterate or fail fast) colleague in the technology team. The role asks for cultural sensitivity, or being able to navigate a global, multi-entity, family-governed organisation with empathy and adaptability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Use Case Governance: Oversee AI use case intake and validation, ensuring alignment with business needs and architecture framework, avoiding duplication. Decide when AI is appropriate versus traditional application work.
Champion Enablement: Support and act as sparring partner for functional champions in identifying, shaping, and delivering AI use cases to raise philanthropic impact, while applying process thinking. Facilitate collaboration between application managers and business stakeholders.
AI Adoption & Enablement: Promote data literacy and AI adoption through training, tooling (e.g. Copilot, MS Learn), and agile experimentation. Codify learnings and best practices to ensure CU-wide knowledge sharing and continuous improvement among colleagues.
Best Practices & External Collaboration: Work with our external partners to incorporate external experience and maintain monitoring standards.
Security & Compliance: Collaborate with the Security Lead to ensure proportionate data governance and validate AI agents against EU AI act and GDPR.
Ethical AI & Bias Minimisation: Partner with philanthropic entities across the organisation to ensure AI solutions are ethically designed, inclusive, and actively minimise bias in data, models, and outcomes.
Innovation & Market Scanning: Stay abreast of AI trends, tools, and frameworks (e.g. Fabric, Azure Foundry) and translate them into actionable opportunities.
Citizen Development Support: Guide and coach citizen developers in using AI responsibly within platforms like Power Platform.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a connector between business and tech, ensuring AI solutions meet real-world needs and are adopted effectively.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in AI implementation, enablement, or product ownership.
Familiarity with Microsoft AI ecosystem (e.g. Copilot, Power Platform, Azure AI, Fabric).
Understanding of EU data protection and AI legislation.
Flexibility navigating both data governance and AI ethics frameworks: you will be engaging with a range of internal partners, from philanthropies to the Investment Office, each with unique goals and perspectives.
Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change.
Data science, technology adoption, or product management roles are a good stepping stone into this role.
KEY COMPETENCIES
Problem Analysis: Identifying problems, recognizing significant information, and making connections between data; tracing possible causes of problems; investigating relevant data.
Customer Orientation: Investigating customer needs and acting accordingly; giving high priority to service and customer satisfaction.
Initiative: Spot opportunities, experiment with new tools/approaches, and drive action rather than waiting for perfect clarity.
Adaptability and Curiosity: AI landscape changes rapidly; pivot strategies, learn new tools (like moving from one Microsoft AI service to another), and adjust approaches based on what works.
Teamwork: Contributing actively to a joint result or solution to a problem, even when such teamwork concerns a matter which is not of immediate personal interest.
