Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
To actively support the evolution, development and implementation of the real estate investment strategy, including sourcing, analysis and evaluation of real estate investment opportunities, as well as management and oversight of existing investments.
The role offers the opportunity to work within a relatively small team of 15 people within the Investment Office and will additionally facilitate exposure across multiple asset classes. The successful candidate will work closely with internal investment and operations professionals and liaise closely with external consultants, advisors and managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source new investment opportunities: maintain and build personal network of manager and agent relationships to support the monitoring of the universe of opportunities.
- Lead due diligence and investment proposals: responsible for deal underwriting and investment proposal, due diligence, management of internal/external stakeholders and execution.
- Oversee management of existing assets within the Real Estate Portfolio: Review and oversee execution of business plans, assess alternative strategies to maximize performance and/or minimize risk, as well as support on hold/sell analysis for existing assets and oversee sale processes.
- Review of market research and pricing within real estate: Provide value-added and actionable insights. Support the development of market pricing tracker and relative value measure to enable assessment of real estate sub sectors.
- Support on definition and implementation of reporting and ESG strategy.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The Investment Manager must have the following credentials:
- ca. 7-10 years of professional experience in real estate. Ideally experience focused on direct transactions across Europe.
- Quantitative mindset, with ability to build, question and maintain complex financial models.
- A strong grasp of financial analysis tools (such as Excel, Argus), reporting software (e.g. Burgiss / eVestment).
- Preference given to those with programming abilities (Python, R).
- A proactive, enthusiastic and hands-on approach.
- Intellectual curiosity.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a high performing team.
